The Lissan Trust and Debrett's Peerage are trying to find the 18th Staples Baronet.

The mail line descends from the 3rd,4th and 5th son of the Rev. Alexander Staples who married Dorothea Alexander in 1816.   He was Rector of Gowran and descended from the 3rd son of the 4th Baronet.

The sons were Thomas Staples b.1823

Samuel Montgomery Staples b.l830

Robert Staples b.l832

Great excitement in Canada where Garth and Art Staples have initiated a DNA scheme to search for a Y chromosone match and they have a MATCH!!  So we may have an heir after all.
